To our patients, friends and referring doctors:

As many of you know, I was approached with an exciting opportunity in 2018 that expands my reach to improve public health. Although I was not looking to leave full time clinical practice, I now hold the position of Vice President, National Clinical Operations of Life and Specialty Ventures (LSV) in Little Rock, AR. Yes, my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter live in Little Rock but this was unrelated and a welcome opportunity to spend more time with them, too. A significant, but unexpected aspect of my new job is teaching physicians, nurses, dentists and other health professionals around the country about the integration of medical and dental care. The time involved in travel has been substantial and I have had to therefore reduce my time available to treat patients. Even during the recent pause, my work on medical-dental integration as related to pandemic issues was a seven day a week endeavor.

I am especially pleased and proud to introduce to you, Dr. Charles Poblenz, whom many of you have already met in my office. Charles is a Florida native, UNF graduate and attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, graduating in 2015. We have known each other for several years and I strongly believe that Charles is the right person to provide the same clinical perspective as me and will continue to provide excellent, conservative care to our patients. This year has been exciting for Charles as he and his wife Amy, a local orthodontist, are expecting their first child in early August. Charles’ vision with regard to dentistry is one in which he wants to spend time listening to patient’s concerns and to provide appropriate care for each person’s needs. I look forward to personally introducing Charles to you in the near future.

There are also a couple of other changes that you might notice. My everlasting thanks to Dr. Mike Marchigiano for providing wonderful care for our patients when I have been at LSV. Also, Joanne Redcay has retired after 30 years with us. Joanne was our office manager for 17 years, failed retirement the first time, and has remained a valued part of our team on Tuesdays for the past 13 years. I have been truly blessed to be surrounded by such great people as Joanne, Mike and the rest of our outstanding office staff.

The remainder of our office team, who you have known for years, will remain intact. Remarkably, Cheryl, Karen, Becky, Laurie, Alicia and Nashali average 19 years of patient care in our office and 25 years in the dental profession. They are an incredible group of professional women.
